केंद्र सरकार की नीतियों के खिलाफ बुधवार को भारत बंद रखा गया। 10 ट्रेड यूनियनों ने बुधवार को भारत बंद का आह्वान किया था। इसकी वजह से बैंकिंग, परिवहन समेत दूसरी सेवाओं पर कहीं काफी असर दिखा तो कहीं हालात एकदम सामान्य रहे। माना जा रहा है कि क़रीब 25 करोड़ लोग इस हड़ताल शामिल हुए और जगह-जगह सड़कों पर उतरे। इस दौरान कई जगहों पर तोड़फोड़ की गई तो कहीं लोगों ने रेलवे ट्रैक बाधित कर रेल सेवाओं को प्रभावित किया। बंद का सबसे ज़्यादा असर पश्चिम बंगाल में दिखा।
