Deciding to have a family is one of the most momentous decisions you are likely to make in your life and the idea of becoming a parent can take some time for getting used to. As pregnancy is a 10-month long journey, pregnancy can be different from woman to woman and even for the same mother from one pregnancy to the next.

Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters. During each trimester changes take place in a pregnant woman's body as well as in the developing fetus. It takes about four days for the fertilized egg to move to the lining of the uterus, where it attaches or implants to the uterine wall. Once the embryo is implanted the cell starts to grow eventually become the fetus and the placenta is the tissue that helps to transport oxygen, nutrients, and hormones the mother’s blood to the developing baby throughout the pregnancy.
