The central bank will soon be issuing draft guidelines on corporate governance in banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). This according to Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) latest report on trends and progress in banking for the year 2018-19 that was released today. This report also states that the lack of credit growth in banks is becoming a worry. Latha Venkatesh has the highlights from the report.
