On the fiery performance of students on the Citizenship Amendment Act, Home Minister Amit Shah said that some political parties are instigating students for the benefit of their political interests. Addressing a rally, Amit Shah said that the Citizenship Act 2019 will give Indian nationality to refugees facing religious persecution in three neighboring countries and will not take citizenship of anyone in India. Amit shah apeal to students to read the amendment law.

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून पर छात्रों के उग्र प्रदर्शन पर गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि कुछ राजनीतिक दल अपने राजनीतिक हितों के फायदे के लिए छात्रों को भड़का रहे हैं। एक रैली को संबोधित करने के दौरान अमित शाह ने कहा कि नागरिकता अधिनियम 2019 तीन पड़ोसी देशों में धार्मिक उत्पीड़न का सामना करने वाले शरणार्थियों को भारतीय राष्ट्रीयता देगा और भारत में किसी की नागरिकता नहीं लेगा।उन्होंने छात्रों से आग्रह किया कि वो पहले एक बार नागरिकता संशोधन कानून को पढ़ लें।
