Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 16 December every year since 1971. On this day, India had defeated Pakistan in Bangladesh. 93,000 Pakistani army surrendered after the end of the war. After this, East Pakistan became independent, which is now known as Bangladesh.

विजय दिवस 16 दिसंबर को 1971 के युद्ध में पाकिस्तान पर भारत की जीत के कारण मनाया जाता है। युद्ध के अंत के बाद 93,000 पाकिस्तानी सेना ने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया था। साल 1971 के युद्ध में भारत ने पाकिस्तान को करारी शिकस्त दी। इसके बाद पूर्वी पाकिस्तान आजाद हो गया, जो आज बांग्लादेश के नाम से जाना जाता है।
