Anti-Romeo squad has become active after increasing incidents of assault and molestation in the state. After Kanpur, Unnao, in Meerut, now the anti-Romeo squad has got a sit-in meeting for the laity, and has also slapped the deaf in Kanpur. According to media reports, the SSP of Meerut has set up a monitoring cell a day before for the prevention of female crimes. Inspector Anju Singh has been made in charge of this.
