After attending BJP parliamentary party meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the meeting said that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 will be written in golden letters for people who are persecuted on basis of religion. He further told media persons, “CAB will be tabled in Rajya Sabha today and it will be passed in the house with the comfortable majority”. Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed in Lok Sabha on December 09.
