The report of Justice GT Nanavati Commission set up to investigate the Gujarat riots was placed before the assembly on Wednesday. The Commission has given a clean chit to the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi. The commission said in the report that the roles of then ministers Haren Pandya, Bharat Barot and Ashok Bhatt were not clear. While the role of RB Sreekumar, Rahul Sharma and Sanjeev Bhatt has been questioned.

गुजरात दंगे की जांच के लिए गठित जस्टिस जीटी नानावती आयोग की रिपोर्ट को बुधवार को विधानसभा के सामने रखा गया। रिपोर्ट के आधार पर कहा गया है कि आयोग ने तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को क्लीन चिट दे दिया है। आयोग ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में कहा कि तत्कालीन मंत्री हरेन पंड्या, भरत बारोट और अशोक भट्ट की किसी भी तरह की भूमिका साफ नहीं होती है। जबकि अरबी श्रीकुमार, राहुल शर्मा और संजीव भट्ट की भूमिका पर सवाल उठाए गए हैं।
