Goa governor Satya Pal Malik said that compared the super-rich of India to a bag of rotten potatoes on Thursday. He was speaking as a chief guest at the closing ceremony of 50th edition of IFFI. He claimed that they do not spare even a paisa for charity. Further stating that they were the equivalent of age-old landlords who exploit society, he urged the country’s filmmakers to “strip them naked” by making films of “this newage exploitation”.

अपने बयानों को लेकर हमेशा सुर्खियों में रहने वाले गोवा के राज्यपाल सत्यपाल मलिक एक बार फिर से चर्चा में है, इस बार उन्होंने देश के अमीरों की तुलना सड़े हुए आलू की बोरी से की है. दरअसल, गोवा के पणजी में चल रहे भारत के 50वें अन्तरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव का गुरुवार को समापन समारोह आयोजित किया गया. जिसमें राज्यपाल सत्यपाल मलिक भी शामिल हुए और इस दौरान उन्होंने अपने संबोधन में देश में बढ़ती बेरोजगारी और गरीबी पर चिंता जाहिर की, साथ ही देश के अमीरों की तुलना सड़े आलू से कर डाली।
