This Reddit user bought a set of reels and unearthed a family Thanksgiving recording from 1965.

The video shows a music player where the recording plays a family conversation about the annual celebration over 50 years ago.

The filmer commented: "I thought it was a really sweet recording.

"The whole reel is very heartwarming, full of the kids singing and reading aloud, and the grandpa singing song to the children.

"[I'm] glad I didn't record over it."
