बसत्र न पहिरै ॥
One who does not wear any clothes,

अहिनिसि कहरै ॥
Suffers night and day.

मोनि विगूता ॥
Through silence, he is ruined.

किउ जागै गुर बिनु सूता ॥
How can the sleeping one be awakened without the Guru?

पग उपेताणा ॥
One who goes barefoot

अपणा कीआ कमाणा ॥
Suffers by his own actions.

अलु मलु खाई सिरि छाई पाई ॥
One who eats filth and throws ashes on his head

मूरखि अंधै पति गवाई ॥
The blind fool loses his honor.

विणु नावै किछु थाइ न पाई ॥
Without the Name, nothing is of any use.

बलिहारी गुर आपणे दिउहाड़ी सद वार ॥
A hundred times a day, I am a sacrifice to my Guru;

जिनि माणस ते देवते कीए करत न लागी वार ॥
He made angels out of men, without delay.
