Residents of this village in northern India were shocked to find a massive crocodile at the bottom of their well.

Locals discovered the reptile resting in the dry water source on November 20th in the Gurha Bhopsingh region of Rajasthan state.

A team of rescuers from the forest department used ropes to haul the hefty croc out of the well.

The animal was later released in a nearby dam.

According to local reports, experts say the crocodile probably strayed into the village looking for water.
