The carcass of an Olive Ridley Turtle washed ashore at Sangumal Beach in Rameswaram on November 16. According to a fisherman, "The turtle may have hit a rock while swimming. This happens in this season." After post-mortem, the body of the turtle was buried at the beach by forest officials
