Former India team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been away from international cricket since the World Cup. Dhoni is trying his hand in sports other than cricket. In the very first match of the ongoing tennis tournament at the JSCA Stadium in Dhoni's hometown Ranchi, Dhoni has registered a convincing win. During the tennis match, he played with the army logo on his T-shirt, which caused a huge controversy in the World Cup.

भारतीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान महेंद्र सिंह धोनी विश्व कप के बाद से ही अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट से दूर हैं। धोनी आजकल क्रिकेट के अलावा दूसरे खेल में हाथ आजमा रहे हैं और उस में भी क्रिकेट की मैदान की तरह ही राज कर रहे हैं। धोनी के गृह नगर रांची के जेएससीए स्टेडियम में चल रहे टेनिस टूर्नामेंट के पहले ही मैच में धोनी ने धमाकेदार जीत दर्ज की है। टेनिस मैच के दौरान उन्होंने अपनी टी-शर्ट पर सेना के उस लोगो को लगाकर खेला, जिसकी वजह से विश्व कप में बहुत बड़ा विवाद खड़ा हो गया था।एमएस धोनी टेनिस टूर्नामेंट के डबल्स कैटेगिरी में खेल रहे हैं जहां उन्होंने अपने पार्टनर के साथ मिलकर विरोधी को सीधे सेटों में 6-0, 6-0 से मात दी। धोनी के खिलाफ विरोधी एक भी अंक नहीं बना सके।
