TVET students from poor families have apparently been lured into enrolling at private training institutions nationwide with promises of government study loans being given to them.

Most of these students, who are in their early 20s, waited for at least eight months until they realised the loan was not forthcoming. In this exclusive, The Star speaks to students and relevant parties involved.
