Ellen DeGeneres to Receive Carol Burnett
Award at 2020 Golden Globes The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA)
recently announced Ellen Degeneres as the
second-ever recipient of the Carol Burnett Award. In their announcement, Lorenzo Soria, president
of the HFPA, called DeGeneres a "pioneer." Lorenzo Soria, via 'Variety' Soria also highlighted DeGeneres's philanthropist work,

herself, and will now be awarded annually to recognize
outstanding contributions to television on-or-off screen. DeGeneres will receive the award in-person
at the Golden Globes on January 5, 2020.
