Hundreds took to the streets of Sao Paulo on Thursday evening (October 31) to demand answers from the government as to the circumstances of the death of politician Marielle Franco.

Thursday's protests erupted after a report linking Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to the death of Franco was aired by Brazil's largest TV network, Globo.

Marielle Franco, a prominent Brazilian human rights activist and politician, was murdered in mysterious circumstances in March 2018.
