South Korea's industrial output was slightly down in September... due mainly to a fall in output in the service sector.
According to Statistics Korea,... overall industrial output fell zero-point-4 percent from the month before.
The mining and manufacturing sectors picked up slightly,... but production in wholesale and retail decreased.
Private consumption was also down two percent on-month,... because of a drop in sales of food and clothing.
The agency said the drop is due to temporary factors, such as the impact of several typhoons last month.
