The red tape made by the factory facing my parents’ house helped me reshape my body. Facing a small mirror, I wrapped myself in cellophane and proceeded to cover it in red tape. The tape screeched as it was pulled from the roll and its permanent adhesive created a barrier between my body and the outside world. One could see sweat build up on my forehead as my movements became more and more constricted. Breathing was difficult with a bound chest and a cinched waist. In the end I failed to fix my self-image.
