A 72-hour strike by South Korean railway workers that started last Friday will end at 9 AM, Korea time,.... in less than two hours from now.
The Korea Railway Corporation's labor union staged the strike to demand higher pay and better working conditions after their negotiations with KORAIL collapsed in August.
During the strike, out of some 2-thousand 3-hundred trains, only around 60 to 80 percent of them were operating.
KORAIL said once the strike is over, it will be back to almost full capacity in terms of rail services.
However, as the railway workers' demands have yet to be settled, the labor union is warning of another strike in November.
They say the next walkout will continue until a deal is reached with KORAIL.
