Google today dedicated its doodle to Bengali poetess, activist and educationist Kamini Roy. Born on October 12, 1864 in Bakerganj district (now part of Bangladesh), then Bengal, today is the 155th birth anniversary of Kamini Roy. Kamini Roy, who is dedicated to women's rights, is the first woman in India to have graduated in British India. Born in a large family, Kamini Roy's brother had been the mayor of Kolkata and her sister was a physician of Nepal's royal family.

गूगल ने आज अपना डूडल बंगाली कवयित्री, ऐक्टिविस्ट और शिक्षाविद् कामिनी रॉय को समर्पित किया है। 12 अक्टूबर, 1864 को तत्कालीन बंगाल के बाकेरगंज जिले (अब बांग्लादेश का हिस्सा) में जन्मी कामिनी रॉय की आज 155वीं जयंती है। महिला अधिकारों के लिए समर्पित रहने वाली कामिनी रॉय भारत की ऐसी पहली महिला हैं, जिन्होंने ब्रिटिश इंडिया में ग्रैजुएशन ऑनर्स किया था। बड़े परिवार में जन्मीं कामिनी रॉय के भाई कोलकाता के मेयर रहे थे और उनकी बहन नेपाल के शाही परिवार की फिजिशियन थीं।
