Automakers are pinning their hopes on the festive season for a recovery. Maruti Suzuki's Shashank Srivastava told CNBC-TV18 that sales have picked up over the last 10 days. Maruti claims that its new launch S-Presso has already seen 10,000 bookings in 8 days. Maruti also expects to reduce the discounts and believes that what's currently on offer is not sustainable.
