Those visiting Italy's romance-capital of Venice will have to pay an entrance fee of up to eleven U.S. dollars starting next July.
According to the Telegraph, Venice's council voted to impose the fee to help maintain to the city, which is built on the waters of the Adriatic Sea.
The fee during peak season will be around eleven dollars and some three dollars during off-season.
All visitors, except Venice citizens and those on study or business trips, will be subject to the new entrance fee.
