Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam spoke to the press on Tuesday and said the government had no immediate plans to use emergency powers for the introduction of other laws.  The city experienced a long weekend of violent protests after the government invoked emergency powers to impose a ban on wearing face masks at public assemblies.
