Thousands of protesters, many wearing face masks, marched through the streets of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon for a third straight day on October 6, 2019, in clear defiance of a new law banning them from concealing their faces during public gatherings.  Many protesters blame the government for escalating the situation with the new measure implemented through emergency powers.
