South Korean tennis star Chung Hyeon beat 2014 US Open Champion ( )Marin Cilic in the last sixteen of the Japan Open Tennis Championships on Thursday.
Chung beat Cilic by two sets to one in the ATP tour match.
The 21-year old Korean denied Cilic his 500th tour-level win in the process.
This was the first time in three attempts that Chung has defeated the former world number 3.
He will face 2017 Tokyo champion David Goffin in the quarter-finals of the Japan Open.
