Yellowstone Hires First
Female Chief Ranger.
Yellowstone National Park recently
announced the hiring of Sarah Davis
as the park’s 18th chief ranger.
Although other females have temporarily held
the position, Davis will be the first official female
chief ranger in the park’s 147 year history. .
Sarah is an outstanding leader with
a track record of high performance,
strategic thinking, and collaboration, Superintendent Cam Sholly, via CNN.
Davis has a 20-year history
of working in national parks,
having previously held positions
in seven other parks.
At Yellowstone, she will act as chief of resource and
visitor protection, overseeing the performances of law
enforcement, emergency services and much more. .
She will begin her new role in
the park this coming December.
