Costa Rica's Playa Hermosa-Punta Mala Wildlife Refuge releases 157 new-born Ridley sea turtles into the sea after they were born on one of the country's protected turtle nesting sites. The wildlife refuge cares for the eggs that are spawn on the beach, protecting them from poachers eager for their supposed aphrodisiac qualities and by birds and dogs that dig them up on the beach, before releasing them back into the wild.
