The UK Supreme Court has ruled that Prime Minister Boris Johnson's suspension of parliament in the run-up to Brexit was unlawful.
Johnson, who is flying back early from a UN summit in New York, said he strongly disagrees with the ruling, but would respect it.
The PM is also rejecting opposition calls for his resignation.
MPs are expected to return to parliament on Wednesday, local time.
