Bernie Sanders Proposes
Wealth Tax Plan to Help
Fund ‘Medicare for All’ The Vermont senator acknowledged that though
taxes would still go up for the middle class, many
would benefit from paying less overall for healthcare. Sanders’ wealth tax plan would cut the wealth
of billionaires in half over 15 years, hitting the
richest 180,000 households in the top 0.1%. Economics professors Emmanuel Saez
and Gabriel Zucman estimate the plan
will raise $4.35 trillion in 10 years. The revenue would also go towards Sanders’ universal child care and affordable housing plans, the latter which is estimated to cost $2.5 trillion over a decade. Bernie Sanders,

‘Medicare for All’ is the cost to taxpayers.
