A photographer managed to capture a stunning supercell thunderstorm forming in the skyline above Alberta, Canada.

The hyperlapse footage, filmed on July 23, shows the clouds rippling through the sky similar to that of a mushroom cloud generating from an explosion.

Photographer and storm chaser Dave, @5DPhotog on social media, posted the footage on Reddit with the caption, "wicked storm I captured this summer", racking up over 50,000 upvotes.
