Seoul plans to become 'global music city' by increasing music institutes, hosting festivals

The city of Seoul is looking to become a global city of music.
Seoul plans to create four times the number of public music institutes by 2023 so that people can learn new instruments and enjoy music shows closer to home.
The city will also stage six global-scale music festivals each year.
Festivals such as the Seoul Drum Festival, Indie Music Festival and Seoul Traditional Music Festival will be held throughout the year,... attracting visitors to the city.
The first of those festivals will be the Seoul Music Festival, held at Gwanghwamun Plaza from September 28th.
