Traffic on the nation's major highways reached its peak today as people headed to and from their hometowns outside the big cities.
The stretches of highway backed up across the country total some 700 kilometers.
The Korea Expressway Corporation says more than 6-point-2 million cars are expected to be on the highways today.
The congestion heading to Seoul is expected to return to normal early tomorrow morning at around 3 or 4 AM.
And traffic heading south will start to flow smoothly from around 11 PM to midnight.
Weather-wise, it's clear skies tonight with a few clouds on the east coast, so the full moon will be visible in most areas.
