After the implementation of the New Motor Vehicle Act, Gujarat has become the first state to provide relief to the drivers of heavy fines with the implementation of the new law. Gujarat has reduced the amount of the penalty for the new Motor Vehicle Act by 50 percent. After this, nine other states can also provide huge relief to the drivers from heavy fines along the same lines. Six of these states are where the new Motor Vehicle Act has not been implemented. Apart from this, there are three Union Territories where there is a lot of confusion about the new Motor Vehicles Act.

New Motor Vehicle Act लागू होने के बाद गुजरात ऐसा पहला राज्य बन गया है, जिसने नया कानून लागू करने के साथ ही भारी जुर्माने से वाहन चालकों को राहत प्रदान की है। गुजरात ने नए मोटर व्हीकल एक्ट के जुर्माने की राशि को 50 फीसद तक कम कर दिया है। इसके बाद नौ अन्य राज्य भी इसी तर्ज पर वाहन चालकों को भारी जुर्माने से बड़ी राहत प्रदान कर सकते हैं। इनमें से छह राज्य ऐसे हैं, जहां अभी नया मोटर व्हीकल एक्ट लागू नहीं किया गया है। इसके अलावा तीन केंद्र शासित राज्य ऐसे हैं, जहां नए मोटर वाहन अधिनियम को लेकर ऊहापोह की स्थिति है।
