Hong Kong journalists who say they are experiencing increased violence at the hands of police have lodged a protest by wearing full safety gear to one of the force’s daily press conferences.  The routine press briefing on September 9, 2019, followed a series of violent protests over the weekend, as the city entered its fourteenth week of anti-government unrest.
