The Department of Justice (DOJ) is checking the alleged involvement of Budget Secretary Butch Abad and Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala in the pork barrel scam. Justice Secretary Leila de Lima explained though no formal investigation has been launched into the two Cabinet members, her agency is vetting the list and affidavits of alleged mastermind Janet Lim Napoles, who had said that Abad and Alcala benefited from the scam. Meanwhile, the DOJ is reviewing a third batch of PDAF-related cases before filing a complaint with the Ombudsman. Mornings @ ANC, June 27, 2014
