MANILA - Sen. Jinggoy Estrada left his home on Monday to surrender to the Sandiganbayan after the court ordered his arrest for plunder and graft charges in connection with the P10 billion pork barrel scam. Speaking to reporters outside his home in Corinthian Hills, Estrada said he is very confident that the truth will set him free. "I will submit myself to the rule of law," he said. He said his family cried after hearing the news of the issuance of the arrest warrant. "Siyempre nalungkot, naiyak. Natural lang yan sa pamilya," he said. He said his youngest daughter wanted to stay with him in the detention cell but said the court might not allow it. Estrada then boarded a van to go to the anti-graft court. ANC, June 23, 2014
