MANILA – The housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) sealed their weekly task with a decision that concerns the continued stay of celebrity house guest, Alex Gonzaga. Alex, who was originally a co-host the program, was called into the confession room by "Kuya" last June 1 to inform her that someone had sent her a letter. Alex then learned that it was from her mom, Pinty. The letter read, “Dearest Bunso, We miss you so much, daddy, ate and me. We all want to hug and kiss you na. We hope you miss us too. Sobrang excited na kami makasama ka. Hopefully sooner than soon. Love you so much. Mommy Pinty G.” “Kuya” then asked Alex when she wants to see her family. While saying she misses her parents and sister Toni as well, Alex said, “Okay lang po siguro mga ano pa—isang taon pa (laughs). Kayo na po bahala, kuya. Ako naman kasi is house guest lang naman. Kung gusto niyo na po ako paalisin dito, okay lang po.” “Kung ako po ang masusunod, gusto ko pa pong mag-stay. Hindi po ako aalis. Mags-stay ako sa maraming tao para kapag papalabasin niyo ako, hindi niyo ako makukuha. Sasabihin ko hindi,” she added in jest. However, “Kuya” noted that just like everything else, good things also come to an end. Part of weekly task On Friday, “Kuya” again summoned Alex inside the confession room to ask if she’s then ready to leave his house. To which, Alex responded, “Kung ano 'yung unang pasok namin dito, hanggang ending, mas naging close kami so parang ayaw kong isipin 'yung lungkot kasi 'yun 'yung mali ko sa labas ng bahay. Masyado kong iniisip 'yung future na pwedeng mangyari na hindi ko nae-enjoy 'yung moment. Here, natutunan ko na kailangan ko i-enjoy 'yung moment, next time ko na poproblemahin 'yung future.” But instead of deciding whether Alex would leave or stay longer inside the PBB house, “Kuya” told his celebrity house guest that he will be leaving her fate up to the housemates, and their decision would be part of their weekly task. For the week, the housemates were given three opportunities to say "no" to a challenge. Each time a housemate declines a challenge, one of the lit "no" signs in the living room is turned off. Running out of "no's" will mean failing the weekly task, and having no extra budget for the succeeding week. Then at a crucial part of their weekly task, the housemates, who were divided into two groups, could only afford one last “no” to win the challenge. Both groups, however, did not take long to decide they do not want Alex to leave the PBB house even if it meant they would have no extra budget next week. Informed of the housemates decision, an emotional Alex said, “Natutuwa po ako dahil 'yung mga housemates po, kahit po isa lang ako, parang mas pinili nila na huwag makakuha ng makakain [para makasama pa nila ako].” As a result, Alex will be staying for another week inside the PBB house. She is set to leave the reality show this coming weekend. "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" airs weeknights on Primetime Bida, and on Saturdays and Sundays as part of ABS-CBN's Yes! Weekend line-up. Afternoon updates are also aired via "Uber" on weekdays.
