Government spending picked up in March, suggesting the dip in February was a fluke. Spending rose 14 percent in March, one of the biggest increases since the pork barrel controversy dragged spending in the second half of last year. For the first three months, spending is up 12 percent. Revenue growth kept pace with spending, also rising 14 percent. As in January and February, it was the Bureau of Customs that provided the boost, rising a third. ANC News Now, April 30, 2014
