Lowe’s to Lend Support With
Hurricane Dorian Relief Efforts.
In preparation for Hurricane Dorian’s impending
arrival in the United States, Lowe’s has officially
activated their “Emergency Command Center.”.
Located in Mooresville, North Carolina, the
“Command Center” oversees the dispatching of
emergency supplies to areas that will be impacted.
This includes the pre-staging of trucks
and the evaluation of what extra supplies
will be needed as the hurricane develops. .
Hurricane Dorian, which was initially expected
to hit Florida, is now predicted to hit South
and North Carolina as early as Thursday.
According to the company's website,
more than 4,000 truckloads of supplies have
already been shipped to coastal stores.
They’ve also staged multiple flood trucks
outside of predicted impact zones, with the
intent to mobilize as soon as it is safe to do so. .
Additionally, around 300 employees have received
specialized training and are ready to provide
additional support in impacted regions
