President Aquino claimed his administration has boosted the morale of the Filipino people by over-delivering on its promises. Speaking to a room full of investors at the Euromoney Philippines Investment Forum, the President said the reforms he implemented have had a tremendous effect on the national psyche and have empowered Filipinos to demand excellence from government. The President added this is the legacy he wants to leave behind, as he hopes that reforms he implemented will extend beyond his term in office. The President credited his Cabinet members, who he says, keep exceeding his expectations. He cited the Philippines' economic growth in 2013, which was one of the fastest in Asia despite calamities that struck the country last year; efforts to revive the manufacturing sector and the increase in infrastructure spending this year. Aquino also vowed smoother working conditions with the private sector. Attending the forum are 750 delegates from over 30 countries. ANC Dateline Philippines, February 18, 2014
