MANILA -- After supposedly ending her rift with ex-husband James Yap, Kris Aquino again took a swipe at the basketball star, saying she wished he would exert more effort to bond with their son, James "Bimby" Yap Jr. The host-actress made the statement after seeing Bimby swimming and playing with model-actor Daniel Matsunaga during their Palawan trip for her morning show "Kris TV." "Naawa ako kaya dapat um-effort si James," Aquino said on the show's Tuesday episode. No matter how much I love my sons, that's one thing, 'yung harutan na panglalaki well it's not in my capacity," she said. "So sana 'yung every day na pagkikita nila, sana um-exert ng effort kasi hindi mo maibabalik ang time na ito, so they will have happy memory together or kung hindi man maganap 'yon, may God bless me with a partner who would be willing to do that. In God's time," she added. Aquino then thanked Matsunaga for taking the time to play with the six-year-old boy. Marunong makisama and child-like siya talaga, mayroon siyang openness," Aquino said of the Brazilian-Japanese model-turned-actor. Matsunaga was once romantically linked to Aquino but both have denied this.
