Theater actress Monique Wilson will celebrate Valentine's Day with non-government organizations in support of the One Billion Rising campaign to end violence against women and children. Wilson, best known for appearing in the original production of "Miss Saigon" in London's West End, has been working at the UK capital for the past 13 years. But now that she is back in the Philippines, the actress, who was last seen on the Manila stage in "The King and I," admitted that she asked herself what she is doing living in London. "Ano ba ang ginagawa ko sa London? Maraming kailangang mangyari dito sa Philippines," she mused. "I made a very big decision to stop teaching sa theater school sa London kasi gusto ko talaga mag-serve," she added. Wilson clarified that she won't totally turn her back from acting but appealed to producers to make more meaningful projects. "Kung gagawa tayo ng pelikula, ng indie films, ng theater shows, dapat may mga tema na malapit sa puso," Wilson said. Umagang Kay Ganda, February 6, 2014
