MANILA - Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison on Thursday said authorities cannot prevent Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo from leaving the country until a court issues arrest warrants or hold departure orders against the two. The National Bureau of Investigation has sought a lookout bulletin for Lee and Cornejo in connection with the Vhong Navarro mauling incident. Reports said Lee and Cornejo have booked flights to Singapore. Their lawyer, Howard Calleja, said the two have no plans to leave the country. Calleja said he will make sure Lee and Cornejo are around to face the case against Navarro. He also asked the public not to prejudge the case based on the CCTV footage released by the NBI. The NBI earlier said the footage seemed to back Navarro's claim that no rape occurred against Cornejo. Mornings@ANC, January 30, 2014
