MANILA – Police discovered an illegal quarrying site in Mabitac, Laguna. Piles of araal stones, used in decorative walls and floorings,were found at the quarrying site beside Bundok Bilog. Police said the six armed men manning the quarrying operations were arrested. Investigators said the illegal quarrying operations in the area started two years ago and had managed to become undetected because of the presence of armed quarry site employees.
