Punto por punto host Anthony Taberna discusses the major road projects set to be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The projects are seen as solutions to the metro's worsening traffic problem, but the public will have to endure massive traffic while the constructions are ongoing. Among the infrastructures being built along EDSA is a 4-lane, 2-direction bridge across the Pasig River that would connect to Lawton Avenue in Makati and Sta. Monica in Pasig. A 4-lane, 2-direction underpass will also be built along the stretch of Gil Puyat, Makati Avenue and Paseo de Roxas, which aims to clear traffic at the intersection of Gil Puyat, Makati Avenue, and Paseo de Roxas. The Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, seen as the fastest multi-lane highway in Metro Manila, will connect Skyway until the North Luzon Expressway Balintawak-Edsa Interchange. There are also plans to construct a 3-lane second level elevated highway above the San Juan River that would go through C-3 road in Araneta Avenue to N. Domingo in San Juan, until Senator Gil Puyat Avenue in Makati. - Umagang Kay Ganda, Punto por Punto, 23 January 2014
