MANILA - Skyway officials plan to boost visibility of traffic enforcers in different areas of the elevated highway to deter drivers from speeding. On ANC's Headstart, Skyway CEO Manuel Bonoan said they will also hold a dialogue with bus operators to reiterate Skyway rules such as speed limits and other safety issues. He said they are considering harsher penalties for those who will violate the Skyway's speed limit. "We probably have to put more enforcers in the Skyway. Patrol vehicles and motorcycle cops patrolling the Skyway every now and then," said Bonoan. The Skyway official said there is nothing wrong with the elevated highway's design since it is compliant with international standards. "We will look into whatever it takes to deter these kinds of accidents again," he said. "We will continue to make efforts in enforcement specially in buses because they are the ones carrying more people. We will continue to enforce it more strictly," he added.
