MANILA, Philippines – Sinag Pilipinas grabbed the gold medal after defeating Malaysia, 84-56, in the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar. The Philippine national team swept the SEA Games basketball tournament, defeating Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia. The Filipinos dominated from the start, and even registered a 21-point lead in the second half to cruise to victory.
