Super typhoon "Yolanda" damaged houses, toppled trees and power lines as it slammed on to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao Friday morning. The destructive typhoon also forced tens of thousands to evacuate their homes. Authorities had earlier warned of flashfloods and landslides in areas that will be hit by Yolanda. Nearly 3,000 passengers in various ports across the country are also stranded. Yolanda is so big and powerful it has already made multiple landfalls. It is also one of the most powerful tropical cyclones ever observed. This is the first time PAGASA has had to use its signal number 4 classification outside of Luzon, and only the 15th time it declared the same storm signal since 1991.
