MANILA - About 10-15 lawmakers will reportedly be implicated in the pork barrel scam as a plunder complaint is being prepared against a second batch of personalities involved in the issue. Attorney Levito Baligod, counsel for the pork scam whistle-blowers, said they are working with Department of Justice prosecutors to complete the pieces of evidence against the new list of respondents. "Mas marami ngayon. At least to be safe, ano, at least 10 legislators. Hindi namin tinitignan kung administration ka o opposition ka. Basta makumpleto namin yung dokumento kasi yung evidence from the whistle-blowers testimonial and documentary," he said. "We have to continue the set of evidence like yung liquidation na nasa possession ng Commission on Audit, yung endorsement letters nila favoring a particular foundation which by itself is illegal. Pag nakumpleto namin yung documents na yon maisasama sila," he added. Baligod said once the new complaint is filed, they will also prepare other charges against legislators who illegally benefited from congressional insertions. "May mga legislators kasi tayo na nakahingi ng pondo na hindi PDAF like for example if you are a member of the Commission on Appointments, may access ka sa ibang funds or member ka ng committee on transportation nakakakuha ka ng pondo sa [Department of Transportation and Communications]. Ito yung mga congressional insertions noon," he said. The Department of Justice earlier filed plunder, graft, bribery and malversation cases at the Ombudsman against businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles and 37 others linked to the P10 billion pork barrel scam. Included in the charges were 3 senators - Jinggoy Estrada, Juan Ponce Enrile and Bong Revilla - 5 congressmen and 30 others. - ANC
